Joe Rivet is Of Counsel with our firm. He has over 25 years of experience in healthcare reimbursement. Joe started his career in coding and billing and has numerous coding and compliance credentials. He helps providers fight to get their hard-earned money owed to them by payers. Joe has helped numerous providers overcome payer audits and recover denied claims providers thought were lost revenue. He brings a unique perspective to his clients, drawing on his experience working 5 years on the payer side as a director of fraud and abuse. Joe understands the complicated claims processing systems and identifies issues that are often not recognized by the payers themselves, causing claim denials and delayed payments.
Joe focuses his practice area on reimbursement matters and is often seen at his desk with coding books, numerous references, and piles of charts, zealously advocating for his clients to get the money they deserve. He is licensed in Arizona, Michigan, and the federal D.C. circuit. Additionally, Joe is an arbitrator through the American Health Law Association.
Joe has won numerous awards from Super Lawyers®, Best Lawyers®, and Elite Lawyer and is a recipient of the Leaders in Law class of 2024 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
